Job summary

Oakland Schools seeks a Boys Golf Head Coach to lead the Southfield A&T High School golf program. The role focuses on teaching fundamentals, promoting teamwork, and maintaining academic and behavioral standards for student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of golf techniques, rules, and course management.

• Ability to teach and inspire student-athletes with varying levels of ability.
• Must be flexible for tournament schedule.

• Instruct student-athletes on the rules, techniques, and etiquette of golf.
• Organize and supervise team practices, matches, and tournaments.
• Promote academic achievement and personal growth among players.
• Coordinate with the Athletic Director regarding scheduling, transportation, and budgetary needs.
• Monitor and maintain all golf equipment, uniforms, and team supplies.
• Maintain eligibility records and enforce team, school, and district rules.
• Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and sportsmanship.
• Communicate regularly with student-athletes, parents, staff, and school administration.
• Oversee offseason development and encourage participation in golf-related activities and events.
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor to student-athletes.

Position Summary:
The Head Golf Coach is responsible for leading, organizing, and managing the high school golf program.
