Qualifications

• Current registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer or Licensed Structural Engineer in Illinois.
• Six years of experience in civil engineering.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel statewide with overnight stays.
• Ability to interpret contract language, plan documents, and material designs.
• Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and documents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction inspection, documentation, and quality compliance for the Highway Improvement Program.
• Investigate misconduct and perform compliance reviews on state and federally funded projects.
• Interpret contract language, plan documents, and material designs to resolve issues.
• Develop presentations on engineering standards and train staff.
