Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Transit Market Sector Leader for the Southeast U.S., based in the Charlotte/Raleigh area. The role focuses on growing the transit practice across NC, SC, TN, and AL, building client relationships, leading multidisciplinary teams, and delivering major transit investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
• 10 years of progressive experience in transit planning, design, engineering, program management, or major transportation infrastructure, including 2 years of leadership.
• Demonstrated experience winning and delivering transit projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and complex transportation programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Southeast Transit Market growth strategy across NC, SC, TN, AL.
• Serve as principal client relationship manager for transit agencies, MPOs, regional authorities, municipalities and DOTs.
• Lead strategic pursuits, capture planning, proposal development, interviews, and contract negotiations.
• Establish staffing plans and long-term workforce strategy to support market growth.
• Lead delivery of major transit programs including BRT, LRT, commuter rail, TOD, and station design.
