W.W. Norton & Company, Inc. is seeking a Sciences Sales and Market Development Specialist to join its College Marketing team in the Southeast.

The role focuses on developing sales and marketing strategies, expanding market coverage, and training College Sales Representatives. Travel about 30% and close collaboration with editors, discipline teams, and sales reps are key parts of the job. The ideal candidate will have strong sales skills, 2–5 years of experience in higher education publishing,

Qualifications

  • 3 years of proven experience in higher education publishing sales preferred, 3 years of successful sales experience required.
  • Must be highly disciplined, self-motivated, collaborative and organized.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to travel ~30%.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to campus visits to train sales reps and win new business across disciplines.
  • Develop and execute marketing and sales strategies to grow revenue and market share.
  • Provide feedback to editors and discipline teams on messaging and prepublication titles.
  • Prepare on-campus or virtual presentations and build target lists for prepublication and front list titles.
  • Analyze Salesforce pipeline and drive activity with field teams; coordinate with marketing managers.
