Job summary

Potomac is hiring an External Wholesaler to support and grow our tactical investment strategies and mutual funds with financial advisors in the Southeast region, including NC, SC, GA, TN & AL. The role involves traveling within the territory to meet with advisors, collaborating with internal wholesalers, and driving territory sales performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years as an external wholesaler selling mutual funds, SMAs ETFs or VAs, or 3 years as an internal wholesaler with existing relationships in the territory.
• Demonstrated ability to make successful and dynamic sales presentations.
• Self-driven and able to manage territory budget and operate autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Represent Potomac and distribute all Potomac products and services within the assigned territory.
• Travel within the territory to conduct 1:1 and group face to face meetings and presentations.
• Partner with an internal wholesaler to develop a business plan and manage the territory to meet and exceed regional sales goals and objectives.
• Identify advisor needs through a consultative sales process and provide tailored investment solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners (e.g., marketing, senior leaders, field leaders).
• Manage administrative responsibilities including travel and expenses, CRM updates, calendar and schedules, conference call participation, email retention, continuing education, and other requirements.
