Job summary

Xanterra Travel Collection seeks a General Maintenance Technician for the Grand Canyon South Rim. You will handle general maintenance requests, preventive tasks, and safety compliance, contributing to guest experiences at our lodges and facilities.

The role offers full-time year-round schedules, potential weekend/evening shifts, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k), and park perks.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance, or in trades such as electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.
• Possess or obtain a valid Arizona Driver’s License within 90 days of start date and comply with policy.
• Physical ability to perform tasks, including entering confined spaces, climbing ladders and lifting up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete all general maintenance requests promptly and cost-effectively.
• Maintain water softeners according to preventive maintenance schedule and manage salt inventory.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as scheduled.
• Troubleshoot electrical equipment up to 480-volt three-phase systems.
• Repair indoor/outdoor lighting and ballasts.
• Assist training and development of lower General Maintenance grades.
• Adhere to safety, risk management and sustainability policies.
• Wear required PPE at all times.
• Work second shift as needed; be available for after-hours call outs.
• Other duties as assigned.
