Job summary

Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) seeks a Director, Attractions South to lead regional business development for South Indiana. You will manage the regional office, negotiate deals, and coordinate with education, local officials, and industry partners to attract capital investment and create Hoosier jobs.

You will build relationships with state and regional partners, lead responses to RFPs, travel across the region, and mentor project managers while safeguarding client and state

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in economic development, planning, real estate or related field.
• Eight years of post-graduate professional experience, preferably in a client-facing role.
• Minimum five years’ experience in economic development and deal negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate high-profile economic development deals to attract capital investment and jobs.
• Lead regional office business development and coordinate with state and local partners.
• Present unified responses to proposals and site visits with regional teams.
• Travel in-state and nationally to build partnerships and opportunities.
• Mentor project managers in business transaction management and negotiations.
