Job summary

State of Indiana seeks a Project Manager for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) to oversee projects in the Southern Indiana Region. You will negotiate deals, build partnerships, and support economic development initiatives across counties to attract new companies and jobs.

You will travel within the region, engage with local officials, and manage multiple projects while ensuring program requirements and deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience in Economic Development, Community Development, Urban Planning, Real Estate Sales/Development, Sales/Business Development, or core industries.
• 1–3 years of experience in economic development or related field (preferred).
• International Business Development experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of Indiana core industries and government programs and processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and negotiate expansion and business attraction projects in Southern Indiana Region, aiming for job creation.
• Build and maintain relationships with economic development partners within the State and Southern Indiana.
• Visit local businesses and officials to identify opportunities and communicate program requirements.
• Monitor activities in the region and report to IEDC leadership.
• Attend conferences and events related to business development and economic development issues in Southern Indiana.
• Provide technical assistance to identify appropriate IEDC programs and complete program applications.
• Update CRM with project information and provide support to Business Development leadership.
