Job summary

HDR seeks a dynamic South Central Region Health Director to shape HDR’s health sector strategy and growth. You will drive business development, oversee health projects, and strengthen HDR’s regional reputation through client service and thought leadership.

You will lead pursuit, marketing, and market planning efforts, mentor health leaders, and ensure successful delivery of health projects while expanding HDR’s presence in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, planning or related field.
• 10+ years of industry experience with professional registration.
• Strong leadership, marketing, and client presentation skills.
• Willing to travel and hold advanced credentials (LEED/ACHA/EDAC).

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of business strategies for the health market sector at regional and local levels.
• Coach pursuit teams in client capture plans and proposal preparation.
• Lead annual market sector planning with fee goals and budgets.
• Develop and nurture strong client relationships across facilities and institutions.
• Promote HDR capabilities, thought leadership, and community engagement.
• Support strategy and content for external and internal marketing communications.
• Mentor health leaders and onboard new Health staff.
• Lead projects as Principal-in-Charge or advisor to healthcare teams.
