Job summary

The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in South Bend, IN is seeking a part-time Pool Attendant. You will help ensure pool safety, supervise children, and maintain a clean, well-organized pool area. This role supports the rewards-driven mission and provides a flexible, community-focused environment.

Starting pay is $12 per hour for 19 hours per week, with opportunities for tuition assistance through the Kroc Center's program and local discounts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate equipment check in and out procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned area and it’s equipment following departmental specific guidelines
• Return all equipment to the proper location
• Report all equipment breakdowns according to departmental procedure
• Enforce all safety guidelines that pertain to the assigned area on a constant and consistent basis
• Responsible for the safety, supervision and active entertainment of all children using the pool slide.
• Maintain readiness and cleanliness of the area
• Ability to assist in any emergencies or accidents, filling out incident reports as needed.
• Report any suspicion of child abuse to the Aquatics Lead.
• Be aware of and apply concepts from the 40 Developmental Assets.
