Ciel Senior Living is seeking a reliable Sous Chef to join our culinary team in an on-site capacity. This role supports the Director of Culinary in preparing nutritious meals for residents in a warm, respectful senior living environment.

The ideal candidate will be service-oriented, dependable and eager to contribute to residents’ health and happiness through quality food service. Training and ongoing development are encouraged to grow with the team.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong time management and multitasking skills.
• Attention to food safety, sanitation and quality standards.
• Ability to collaborate with culinary and caregiving teams.
• Proficient reading and writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Culinary with daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.
• Serve meals to residents in a courteous and timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in food prep and dining areas.
• Assist with inventory, stocking and proper storage of food and supplies.
• Follow safety and health regulations and collaborate with teams.
• Attend training and development opportunities and participate in LMS courses.
