  • We are hiring immediately for seasonal SOUS CHEF positions.

Job Summary

Summary: Assists the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking foods. Coordinates activities of cooks and food-service associates. Takes responsibility for the kitchen and food-service team in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and standards, meeting deadlines based on production orders.
  • Supervise hourly food service staff, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Store food properly, following all safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and workstations; keep display equipment clean during meal service.
  • Interact with customers to resolve complaints courteously and relay relevant information to supervisors.
  • Understand and explain daily menu items accurately to staff and customers.
  • Manage peak production and service hours efficiently.
  • Monitor inventory and deliveries; track product usage and waste; inform supervisors of low supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
