Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring a full-time Sous Chef at the P&G Cape Girardeau Plant in Jackson, MO. The role supports the Executive Chef, coordinates cooks and kitchen staff, and ensures timely, high-quality food service.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of restaurant culinary experience and demonstrated supervisory capabilities in a kitchen setting. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule and a pay range of $18.00 to $25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Two years of culinary experience in a restaurant.
• Supervisory experience in a kitchen context is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates, including scheduling and training.
• Stores food in designated areas following sanitation procedures.
• Ensures proper food handling and serving temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment and workstation. Keeps display equipment clean.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Maintains knowledge of daily menu items and communicates them clearly.
• Monitors peak production and service hours and manages inventory deliveries.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
