Job summary

The Sous Chef position at P&G Cape Girardeau Plant in Jackson, MO is a full-time role with a 5:30 am–3:30 pm schedule. Requires at least 2 years of culinary experience in a restaurant.

This role reports to the Executive Chef and oversees kitchen activities to ensure timely, safe, quality meals. You will assist with prep, cooking, and supervising cooks, while maintaining food safety, production standards, and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Previous 2 years of culinary experience in a restaurant required.
• Strong kitchen leadership and ability to supervise cooks.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates including scheduling and training.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and work areas.
• Monitors inventory and deliveries; communicates low stock to supervisor.
• Ensures proper food handling, portion control and serving temperatures.
