Job summary

Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is seeking a Sous Chef for Grand Cafe to continually evolve all outlet menus and lead culinary and stewarding staff. You will manage food and labor costs, communicate with sales and operations to exceed client standards, and enforce established guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of food management experience in hot/cold prep, dining outlets, and multi-venue operations.
• Proficient in safety and sanitation standards with hands-on kitchen equipment experience.
• Fluent in English for recipe reading, requisitions, and staff communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interview, hiring, training, supervision, scheduling and activity participation of chefs and staff.
• Evolve menu items for all outlets based on trends and product availability.
• Interact with clients for event planning, budgeting and execution.
• Provide materials for line staff including menus, recipes and production schedules.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships and ensure quality of food and kitchen sanitation.
