Job summary

Davidson Hospitality Group seeks a passionate Sous Chef for Hotel Orielle, Autograph Collection in Savannah, GA. You will lead a culinary team, drive menu development, and uphold brand standards across dining experiences on the historic riverfront.

You will mentor staff, manage inventory and purchasing, ensure food safety, and collaborate with the Executive Chef on planning, staffing, and daily operations to deliver exceptional, guest-focused cuisine.

Qualifications

• College degree or certification in culinary field/hospitality field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
• Knowledge of a variety of culinary techniques and cuisines.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage inventory, including ordering and receiving products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
• Lead and coach the team; plan staffing and internal procedures with Executive Chef.
• Manage daily food requisitions, daily specials, and hiring/training.
• Oversee menu development, inventory, kitchen cleanliness, and dish quality.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
