Job description: Sous Chef/Lead Cook- Full TIme

Qualifications and Responsibilities :

  • 2-5 years of experience in a Lead Cook or Sous Chef position in a senior living setting preferred.
  • Solid understanding of food cost control, ordering, and inventory system.
  • Able to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Support and collaborate with the Chef and Director of Culinary in leading daily kitchen operations.
  • Support and assist with creating seasonal menus and recipes.
  • Participate in cooking demos and special events.
  • Reports to the Director of Culinary and Chef.
  • Work on the line, prep, and expedite as needed.
  • Maintain five-star standards in taste, plating, and execution.
  • Oversee inventory and cost control with precision.
  • Maintain the highest standards for cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen organization.
  • Attitude: Bring a positive mindset, willingness to learn, and stamina to stand for extended periods
  • Passionate Cleanliness.
  • Trains and work with cooks, servers, and dishwashers.
  • Documents, investigates, escalates and resolves employees or guest incidents.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
