JOB DESCRIPTION
We, Fiery Phoenix Pty Ltd, are a busy café based in Berwick. We prepare and serve a variety selection of brunches dishes, burgers, and poke bowls. We are looking for a Cook to join our team on a full-time basis.
As our Cook, you are expected to be responsible for:
?Preparing and cooking dishes;
?Preparing food ingredients for cooking purpose;
?Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment;
?Seasoning food during cooking;
?Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces, and garnishes;
?Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements;
?Monitoring quality of food at all stages of preparation;
?Checking the quality, serving size and presentation before serving;
?Freezing and preserving food;
?Supervising and training other junior kitchen staff; and
?Assisting Chef to plan menus, estimate food requirements, and manage kitchen operations.
Qualifications & Skills required:
You must have a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, and at least 1 year of relevant experience in a busy commercial kitchen.
Applicants must have full Australian work right, and are available to work on a full-time basis.
Salary package: $70,000 and $80,000 a year plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.
