Job summary

American Dining Creations, a leading dining and catering provider, seeks a Sous Chef in Minneapolis to support the Chef and Executive Chef in daily culinary services, helping ensure recipes and safety standards are followed. You will work with culinary staff to manage food stations and catering events, supervise BOH team, and maintain production records while keeping the kitchen clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in culinary arts or hospitality preferred.
• Three years in a similar culinary leadership role preferred.
• Experience planning and managing employee schedules, hiring, staff development.
• Strong time management, multitasking, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and catering, ordering and inventory systems.
• Knowledge of local and state food safety regulations.
• Able to lift to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and bend daily.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef with all culinary points of service including food stations and catering events.
• Provide guidance and supervise BOH staff.
• Ensure recipe standards, ingredients, and food handling safety protocols are met.
• Keep kitchen clean and organized, maintain production records and equipment.
• May cover a shift or station during peak operation hours.
• Meet daily with Executive Chef or General Manager regarding operations.
• May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed.
