Job summary

Flik Independent School Dining is hiring a full-time Sous Chef at North Broward Prep in Pompano Beach, FL. The role supports the Executive Chef, coordinates cooks and food-service staff, and ensures production standards are met.

Responsibilities include following approved recipes, supervising staff, and maintaining food safety and sanitation. We offer free meals, uniforms, and laundering services where available.

Qualifications

• Previous allergen management experience preferred.
• Experience managing kitchen operations and staff preferred.
• Experience with ordering and inventory control preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates, including scheduling and training.
• Stores food in designated areas following sanitation procedures.
• Ensures proper food handling, presentation, and serving temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils; keeps work area clean.
