Job summary

Four Seasons Napa Valley is seeking a Sous Chef to lead daily kitchen operations across Truss, CAMPO and Banquets, with potential support for Auro. You will hire, train, and develop culinary teams while upholding the highest quality and safety standards.

In this luxury hotel environment, you will partner with culinary leadership to craft seasonal menus, manage costs, and oversee inventory and events, delivering exceptional guest experiences from arrival to farewell.

Qualifications

• College degree in hotel/restaurant management or culinary arts, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in culinary/food & beverage roles, or 1–2 years supervisory.
• Experience in luxury hotel food & beverage preferred.
• English proficiency required; Spanish a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all daily kitchen operations across multiple outlets — Truss, CAMPO, and Banquets; assist in Auro as needed.
• Hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop culinary team members while promoting a positive and safe work environment.
• Foster Collaboration and Exceptional Guest Experiences with restaurant, culinary, and hotel teams.
• Partner with culinary leadership to create seasonal menus, develop recipes, and maintain quality and presentation.
• Control labor, food, and operating costs through scheduling (OnTrack/ADP/Workday), purchasing (Birchstreet), inventory management, and waste reduction.
• Oversee departmental ordering, payroll, and labor management systems ensuring productivity and budget goals are met.
• Organize and lead restaurant events (buyouts, outside catering, holiday activations).
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
