Belmont Village Rancho Santa Fe is preparing to open a state‑of‑the‑art senior living community and is building a culinary team from the ground up. As Sous Chef, you combine culinary expertise with hands‑on leadership, supporting daily kitchen operations and guiding the culinary team alongside the Chef Manager.

You will execute a restaurant‑style menu with made‑to‑order dishes and menus for special events while enjoying a predictable schedule with no late‑night shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising kitchen staff in high-volume settings.
• Advanced culinary skills including knife handling and plating.
• Clear spoken and written English communication.
• Commitment to hospitality and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Supervises kitchen and dining room staff in the absence of Chef Manager.
• Prepare meals from scratch per recipes and quality standards.
• Follow recipes, manage portions, and ensure attractive presentation.
• Manage cook times while handling multiple orders.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and regulatory compliance.
• Follow checklists to keep kitchen stocked and well maintained.
• Prioritize hospitality and resident satisfaction in every interaction.
