Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, menu planning, and food preparation.
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
  • Mentor and train kitchen staff while fostering a positive team culture.
  • Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost control measures.
  • Collaborate with dietary staff to meet individual resident needs and preferences.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
  • Three years of experience in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred. Dining Room experience is desirable.
  • Culinary education or two years of college. One year of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards.
  • ServSafe certification required.
  • Passion for serving seniors and creating a welcoming dining environment.
