The newly renovated Embassy Suites San Francisco Airport is hiring its next Complex Sous Chef! In this role, you will oversee the culinary production of the hotel's full-service restaurant, complimentary breakfast and evening reception, room service, and banquets. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with at least 2 years of culinary leadership experience who are ready for the next step in their career.

A Sous Chef is responsible for assisting with the direction and oversight of all culinary operations in the hotel's ongoing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Wage: $75,000-$85,000 annually, dependent on experience.

What will I be doing?

As Sous Chef, you will assist with the direction and oversight of all culinary operations to ensure exceptional guest service and profitability. Responsibilities include:

  1. Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all culinary activities, including meal preparation, food quality, safety standards, team performance, policy implementation, and cost control.
  2. Create and implement menu options for banquets and events based on current food trends and regional tastes, in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage.
  3. Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol standards at federal, state, and local levels.
  4. Monitor and develop team member performance through supervision, counseling, training, scheduling, and recognition.
