Job summary

Westgate Vacation Villas & Town Center Resort is seeking a Sous Chef to lead daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced, high-volume resort environment. You will supervise and coach culinary teams, ensure top-quality food, and uphold HACCP and sanitation standards while supporting menu execution and cost control.

Qualifications

• 5 years of culinary management experience in a high-volume resort, restaurant, hotel, banquet, or similar setting.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, train, and develop culinary teams.
• Experience supporting large events, banquets, or high-volume food production.
• Knowledge of inventory, ordering, food cost control, and waste reduction.
• Food Handler Certification required within 30 days of hire and must stay current.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day culinary operations for assigned kitchens, outlets, banquet functions, and service periods.
• Supervise, train, coach, and develop culinary team members with clear direction and high performance standards.
• Ensure food is prepared, cooked, plated, and presented per recipes and brand standards.
• Support menu execution, production planning, daily specials, and service prep as needed.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, HACCP, sanitation, and health department standards.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, receiving, rotation, and cost control.
