Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a qualified culinary professional for Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, WA. The role supports leadership, coordinates kitchen activities, and ensures a smooth operation across departments.

Responsibilities include menu development, recipe establishment, daily planning, quality control, and timely execution of hotlines and banquets. Competitive hourly compensation with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum four years of experience in the food industry as a department chef or similar role.
  • Washington state food handlers’ card is required.
  • SERV Safe Manager Card is optional.

  • Assist leadership team with directives, coaching, and training.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate with other departments for smooth operations.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary environment and ensure compliance with local/state codes.
  • Develop menus for buffets, à la carte, banquets, and other functions.
  • Establish recipes, review daily agenda sheets, and ensure timely service.

About our property:

Skamania Lodge is a Pacific Northwest resort set on 175 acres, featuring treehouses, glamping, golf, ziplining, a spa, and multiple restaurants. With over 22,000 sq. ft. of event space, it’s a premier destination for retreats, conferences, and celebrations. #PGH-SKL

What you will have an opportunity to do:
  • Assist leadership team communicating directives, coaching, and training.
  • Sous Chef documents and elevates performance, attendance, behavioral issues for follow up to work directly with the oversite of the Exec Sous/Exec Chef.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary environment, ensuring compliance with all local and state codes.
  • Coordinates and supervises the activities of all kitchens with all operating departments to ensure the overall success of the lodge.
  • Research and develop menus for buffets, a la carte, banquets, and other functions.
  • Assists the Executive Chef with establishing recipes for all cuisine prepared by the culinary staff.
  • Reviews daily agenda sheets.
  • Establishes specific objectives for culinary staff.
  • Coordinate and write prep lists.
  • Inspects the quality of food products used to prepare the cuisine.
  • Informs Executive Chef when quality is not acceptable.
  • Run or assist running a hot line or banquet event with attention to detail and timing.
What are we looking for?
  • A minimum of four years of experience working within the food industry as a department chef or relevant role.
  • Certificate in Culinary Arts or relevant field (Preferred)
  • Washington state food handlers’ card
  • SERV safe Manager Card (Optional)
