Job summary

The Arbor Company in Peachtree City, GA seeks a Sous Chef to lead kitchen operations, ensure safety and quality, and deliver exceptional dining for residents.

You will oversee production, assist with menu planning, manage stock and regulatory log requirements, and train kitchen staff while collaborating with servers and caregivers to meet residents' needs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of kitchen basics, sanitation and cooking procedures.
• Experience with special diets and long-term care is preferred.
• Experience with large batch cooking (serving 100 people) is preferred.
• Ability to maintain positive resident relations through courteous, cooperative communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production of high-quality dishes reflecting menu and resident preferences.
• Assist with menu development and stock deliveries; rotation of products and regulatory log requirements.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety standards; maintain orderly coolers, stock rooms, and production areas.
• Train and monitor auxiliary kitchen staff; foster a positive, friendly work environment; support servers and caregivers.

You’ll be great on this team because you have:

• Culinary degree or training, or experience cooking in a restaurant environment preferred.
• Knowledge of kitchen basics, sanitation, food handling, portion control, and cooking procedures.
• Previous experience with special diets and long-term care is preferred.
• Previous experience with large batch cooking (100 people) at plus.
• Ability to maintain positive resident relations through a courteous, cooperative and understanding manner.
