Base pay range: $78,000.00/yr - $83,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
- Arrive with a positive attitude, be prepared for your shift, and place personal items in designated areas.
- Check in with teammates and managers at the start and end of shifts.
- Manage labor and food costs daily, monitor budgetary goals, and investigate variances.
- Assist with recipe costing to ensure profitability.
- Complete weekly product orders to minimize waste and spoilage.
- Follow waste tracking systems as directed.
- Inspect food deliveries for quality and reject sub-par products.
- Maintain positive relations with vendors and staff.
- Assist in staffing, hiring, training, and evaluating culinary team members.
- Participate in training front-of-house staff on menu and food knowledge.
- Prepare weekly schedules within budget and ensure proper coverage.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and oversee daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure proper food preparation and presentation.
- Train new hires on kitchen standards and recipes.
- Collaborate on menu development and special events.
- Conduct line checks and ensure compliance with health standards.
- Report maintenance issues and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Review time punches and address clocking issues.
- Maintain flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Participate in community events and company social responsibility initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
- Stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks regularly.
- Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Work under pressure maintaining professionalism.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Good communication skills via email and phone.
- Maintain polished appearance and grooming standards.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and health standards.
Experience & Education
- Minimum 3 years in upscale, high-volume restaurants.
- High school diploma or GED.
