Pay: $75,000-$85,000/year

Job Summary:

As the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for the successful operation of the Culinary Department for a facility. You will assist in supervising, preparing, and cooking various food items, developing daily menu items, and their garnishment. You may supervise hourly associates and work with the Executive Chef to develop new menus and assist with ordering. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, entrepreneurial culinary professional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures
  • Assist with planning and creating menus
  • Produce and execute catering events
  • Implement new culinary programs in conjunction with marketing and culinary teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience
  • Catering experience a plus
  • High volume, complex foodservice experience
  • Institutional and batch cooking experience
  • Knowledge of food and catering trends, quality, sanitation, food cost controls, presentation
  • Computer proficiency: MS Office, Outlook, Internet
  • Willing to participate in client satisfaction activities
  • ServSafe certification - highly desirable
