Job summary

Willing Care Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Sous Chef for a luxury nursing home in Nebraska. The role focuses on delivering a premium dining experience for residents, with meals that meet individual dietary, allergen, and hydration needs.

You will support the Head Chef, prepare nutritious dishes, manage allergen control, and help adapt menus for various nutritional requirements. DBS checks and references are standard for this appointment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef in a professional kitchen.
• Experience working within a nursing home, care home, hospital, or similar setting.
• A strong, working knowledge of nutrition, allergen management, and hydration needs.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in delivering a premium dining experience for residents.
• Prepare and present fresh, nutritious meals meeting dietary, allergy, and hydration needs.
• Ensure strict allergen management and compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Adapt menus to accommodate nutritional and texture-modified requirements.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and stock management.
• Step up in the Head Chef's absence to lead the kitchen team.

What Our Client Is Looking For

• Proven experience as a Chef in a professional kitchen - essential
• Experience working within a nursing home, care home, hospital, or similar setting is strongly preferred
• A strong, working knowledge of nutrition, allergen management, and hydration needs

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the Head Chef in delivering a high-quality, premium dining experience for residents
• Preparing and presenting fresh, nutritious meals that meet the individual dietary, allergy, and hydration needs of residents
• Ensuring strict allergen management and compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
• Adapting menus and meals to accommodate a range of nutritional and texture-modified requirements
• Maintaining excellent standards of kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and stock management
• Stepping up in the Head Chef's absence to lead the kitchen team confidently
