Job summary

The Sous Chef will work alongside the team, run shifts, manage prep, coordinate for parties and events, maintain food quality, and help train staff while ensuring food safety and smooth service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain food quality, portioning, presentation, and consistency.
• Lead, coach, and support kitchen employees — correcting when needed and recognizing a job well done.
• Help train new and existing kitchen staff.
• Communicate clearly with FOH managers, servers, bartenders, food runners, and other team members.
• Take an active role at the expo line, keeping communication between the kitchen and FOH clear and service moving.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Help identify problems and find solutions before they affect service.
• Communicate staffing, product, equipment, and operational needs to management.
