Qualifications

• Two years of experience in food preparation and service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve flavorful meals following approved menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.
• Coordinate food preparation so meals are served on time with consistent quality, temperature, and presentation.
• Accommodate resident preferences through substitutions and communicate needed menu adjustments.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen through proper sanitation, storage, labeling, and temperature monitoring.
• Assist with inventory, supply ordering, and next-day preparation while managing portions and reducing food waste.

What we're looking for

• At least two years of experience in food preparation and service.
• A valid ServSafe/Food Handler’s permit, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
• Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe food‑handling practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, accommodate special diets, and manage preparation for scheduled meal service.
• A dependable team player who brings professionalism, friendliness, and a commitment to resident satisfaction.
• Ability to meet the role’s physical demands, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting approximately 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
