Hyatt Centric Murano Venice is seeking a talented Sous Chef for our kitchen department.
The Sous Chef leads the kitchen team in the absence of the head chef, collaborates with the head chef and other sous chefs to maintain kitchen organization, staff development, and training.
Responsibilities include overseeing kitchen stock and ingredients, ensuring proper food rotation and dating for quality assurance, managing food and product ordering with detailed records, minimizing waste, and working with existing systems to improve waste reduction and budget management.
The role involves coordinating with the restaurant management team on supply orders, budgeting, kitchen efficiency, and staffing. The sous chef also assists in the kitchen, contributing to the overall success of the outlet in line with hotel standards and financial goals.
The sous chef provides guidance to junior kitchen staff, including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
