Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton, FL, seeks an experienced Sous Chef to lead our state-of-the-art dining outlets. The role supports five venues ranging from casual poolside bites to elaborate buffets and elegant dinners, with a focus on high-volume, high-quality service.

The ideal candidate will bring culinary degree credentials, strong leadership, and proven front-of-house experience. Previous la carte chef experience in luxury settings is highly valued, along with excellent communication

Responsibilities

• Prepares or supervises daily production of all food items.
• Oversees food production across all club outlets.
• Maintains high standards of quality, cost, eye appeal and flavor.
• Collaborates with Executive Chef to design menus and specials.
• Tastes and approves all dishes before service begins.
• Ensures staff follow schedules and sanitation standards.
• Trains cooks and enforces club policies and standards.

Must be creative, detail-oriented and have a strong passion for culinary arts. Prior experience as ana la carte Chef in a high volume, high quality environment preferred. Must have strong leadership, communication and organizational skills, and culinary degree preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Prepares or directly supervises the daily preparation of all food items.


• Responsible for the food production in all outlets of the club.


• Consistently maintains standards of quality, cost, eye appeal and flavor of foods.


• Creates menu specification with the Executive Chef.


• Tastes all food items prepared prior to serving.


• Creates “Specials”.


• Creates new items for buffet and a la carte.


• Plans weekly production lists.


• Ensures all employees are following their schedules.


• Communicates with the Chef on any club member feedback.


• Ensures that all cooks are trained and understand our standards when working any type of station.


• Ensures all food products received are of the highest quality.


• Ensures that all employees follow checklists for their areas.


• Ensures that all employees are following the highest sanitation standards.


• Ensure that the receiving department is accepting only the highest quality

REQUIREMENTS

• Culinary Degree preferred


• Prior experience as a la carte Chef, required


• Strong kitchen management and Front of House experience


• Experience in a high volume, high quality hotel or high-end restaurant environment


• Excellent communication skills
