Job summary

Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton is seeking an experienced Sous Chef for our state-of-the-art dining outlets. The resort offers five dining venues, ranging from casual poolside bites to elaborate buffets and elegant dinners.

The role requires prior la carte chef experience, strong kitchen management, and excellent communication. This is a management, full-time position with competitive benefits and a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Culinary Degree preferred.
• Prior experience as a la carte Chef, required.
• Strong kitchen management and Front of House experience.
• Experience in a high volume, high quality hotel or high-end restaurant environment.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or directly supervises the daily preparation of all food items.
• Responsible for the food production in all outlets of the club.
• Maintains standards of quality, cost, eye appeal and flavor of foods.
• Creates menu specifications with the Executive Chef.
• Tastes all food items prepared prior to serving.
• Creates 'Specials' and new items for buffet and a la carte.
• Plans weekly production lists.
• Ensures staff follow schedules and quality standards.
• Communicates with the Chef on member feedback and ensures sanitation standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares or directly supervises the daily preparation of all food items.
• Responsible for the food production in all outlets of the club.
• Consistently maintains standards of quality, cost, eye appeal and flavor of foods.
• Creates menu specification with the Executive Chef.
• Tastes all food items prepared prior to serving.
• Creates “Specials”.
• Creates new items for buffet and a la carte.
• Plans weekly production lists.
• Ensures all employees are following their schedules.
• Communicates with the Chef on any club member feedback.
• Ensures that all cooks are trained and understand our standards when working any type of station.
• Ensures all food products received are of the highest quality.
• Ensures that all employees follow checklists for their areas.
• Ensures that all employees are following the highest sanitation standards.
• Ensure that the receiving department is accepting only the highest quality
