Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. is seeking a Sourcing Specialist III to lead mid- to high-complexity sourcing events, analyze commercial terms, and negotiate contracts in alignment with business goals.

The role collaborates with Legal and Category Managers, builds financial models, and delivers insights to drive cost-efficiency while mentoring junior team members. A Bachelor’s degree and advanced Excel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
• Proven experience leading complex sourcing events and negotiations.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling capability.
• Strong analytical capability and familiarity with procurement platforms.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence, lead tasks, and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop RFx plans and manage end-to-end sourcing events.
• Conduct detailed supplier assessments and total cost analyses.
• Prepare and present award recommendations.
• Lead contract negotiations for medium- to high-complexity initiatives.
• Partner with Legal on drafting and revision of commercial terms.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
• Build financial models to support sourcing recommendations.
• Provide insights to Category Managers to support strategy execution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define sourcing requirements.
• Improve sourcing tools, templates, processes.
