NES Fircroft in Oklahoma seeks an experienced Procurement / Sourcing Specialist to support purchasing operations, supplier management, and supply continuity. You will manage purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers, expedite orders, address shortages, and maintain ERP records.

The role requires 4+ years in Sourcing/Procurement, a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience), and strong Excel and SAP familiarity.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement / Sourcing Specialist to support purchasing operations, supplier management, and supply continuity activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, expediting orders, addressing shortages, and maintaining accurate ERP records while ensuring effective communication across the business.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Place and follow up on Purchase Orders (POs).
• Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution.
• Manage problems and schedule changes.
• Expedite POs and support chasing shortages on parts, proactively communicating shortages and driving solutions for them.
• Update ERP.
• Support special projects with managing POs, process improvement, and supply continuity.
• Handle communication with colleagues and the business on order status, shortages, and supplier delivery performance.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Sourcing/Procurement.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with equivalent experience in Sourcing).

Desired Characteristics

• SAP experience (Purchasing/MM) strongly preferred.
• Experience with direct materials in a manufacturing environment, including expediting and shortage management.
• Very comfortable communicating cross-functionally.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Outside processing experience is a plus.
