Light & Wonder is seeking a Sourcing Specialist within its Strategic Sourcing team. The role focuses on identifying cost-saving opportunities in electronics components, negotiating terms, and driving supplier performance to reduce lead times and mitigate risks.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in sourcing or related fields, experience with category management, and the ability to influence cross-functional partners across Operations and Finance. A regulated gaming context is noted.

  • Develop suppliers to foster competition, mitigate risk, and introduce new technologies.
  • Interface with Finance to link sourcing savings with budget.

The Strategic Sourcing group is a small, high functioning team focused on setting the strategy for the front-end of the supply chain. The Strategic Sourcing group determines the supply strategy, selects supply partners, negotiates commercial terms, and coordinates supplier interactions and supplier management.The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for identifying and leading projects designed to improve the Light & Wonder supply chain on electronics components. These projects will drive cost reduction, margin improvement, reduce lead-time, improve quality, and mitigate supply risk. These projects are transformational in nature and require strategic thinking, effective problem solving, and an ability to influence diverse teams.A successful candidate will be data driven and cross-functionally minded. The candidate will be able to develop category strategies, monetize sourcing opportunities, and collaborate with cross-functional business partners.Essential Job FunctionsWork cross-functionally to define and implement Global Sourcing strategiesNegotiate with components suppliers utilizing volume aggregation, competitive bidding, low cost country sourcing,Develop suppliers to facilitate competition, mitigate risk, and introduce new technologiesInterface with Finance to link sourcing savings with budget.Support supplier development using supplier scorecards, quarterly supplier business reviews, “preferred supplier” programs, etc.Qualifications3+ years experience in sourcing, supply chain or related fields. With an emphasis in direct material strategic sourcing.Experienced with category management and multi-step strategic sourcing processes in a range of categories.Experience with leveraged agreements, multi-year contracts.Highly results-oriented and focused on business priorities with a successful record of accomplishments.Excellent problem solving skills – able to identify problems and/or opportunities for improvement and assesses viable solutions. Develop and execute comprehensive action plans.Excellent supplier relationship management skills.Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments concurrently, including ability to assess and manage priorities.Effective communications skills, particularly the ability to communicate technical expertise.Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
