Job summary

Light & Wonder’s Gaming team seeks an Electrical Engineer to design, test, and sustain electronic hardware for LnW Gaming products and systems. You will analyze designs, perform validations, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to meet requirements and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium or Orcad, interfacing via USB, Ethernet and other protocols, and performing root-cause analysis and debugging across the full product lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or significant equivalent experience.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in Electrical Hardware Development and Sustainment (full life cycle).
  • Experience with embedded systems, computer architecture and circuit design.
  • Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium or Orcad).
  • Strong knowledge of USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, RS-232/RS-485, JTAG and PCIe.
  • Experience with diagnostics, debugging and fault isolation on electronic boards/assemblies.
  • EMC/EMI FCC/CE and safety testing knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Design, qualify, test electronic components, sub-assemblies and systems.
  • Provide sustainment for existing hardware products.
  • Perform design validation and testing of new/existing hardware.
  • Project manager for development, test and sustaining tasks.
  • Maintain vendor and internal LnW team relationships for product support.

Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
