Job summary

CS Powertech, a division of Canadian Solar, is seeking a Sourcing Specialist in Jeffersonville, Indiana to lead strategic sourcing for direct materials, optimize costs, and ensure supply continuity. You will develop sourcing strategies, conduct market analyses, negotiate contracts, onboard new suppliers, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Finance to support production and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Engineering required or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Supplier Relationship Management.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to assess supplier performance and support informed decisions.
• Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing activities for direct materials to support business objectives and supply continuity.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance.
• Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and total cost of ownership assessments.
• Manage RFIs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, and sourcing recommendations.
• Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers to support localization and resilience.
• Lead commercial negotiations for pricing, contracts, payment terms, and service agreements.
• Drive cost reduction and value improvement through sourcing, bidding, and supplier collaboration.
• Collaborate with Quality and Engineering on supplier qualification, audits, and development.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, Finance to support production and projects.
