Job summary

Weatherford is seeking an experienced Sourcing Recruiter to strengthen its Talent Acquisition team in Houston. This role proactively identifies, attracts, and engages talent across engineering, operations, manufacturing, technical, corporate, and support functions while building pipelines and providing market intelligence.

As a key member of the TA-COE, you will act as a talent market expert, using research, mapping, networking, and candidate engagement to ensure access to qualified candidates

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as HR, business or communications.
• 5+ years in talent sourcing, recruiting, or talent intelligence.
• Experience sourcing technical, engineering, operations, or leadership talent.
• Strong research, mapping, and market intelligence abilities.
• Experience engaging passive candidates and building pipelines.
• Proficient with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools.
• Excellent communication, networking and relationship-building.
• Ability to manage multiple searches in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Senior Recruiters, Hiring Managers and HR to understand hiring priorities.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for engineering, operations, manufacturing, and leadership roles.
• Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for critical roles.
• Conduct talent mapping, competitor analysis, and labor market research.
• Source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, associations, events, referrals and internal databases.
• Engage passive candidates through personalized outreach and long-term relationships.
• Complete screening to evaluate interest, availability, experience and fit.
• Provide qualified candidate slates with market intelligence to Senior Recruiters.
• Track pipeline health and engagement metrics.
• Develop talent communities for future hiring needs and workforce planning.
• Share labor market insights to support recruiting strategies and business planning.
• Support employer branding and Weatherford’s EVP.
• Maintain candidate records in Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC) and other TA systems.
• Continuously evaluate sourcing tools and best practices.

This role proactively identifies, attracts, and engages talent across engineering, operations, manufacturing, technical, corporate, and support functions while building pipelines and providing market intelligence.

Role Focus

As a key member of the Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence (TA-COE), you will serve as a talent market expert for current and future hiring needs. You will combine talent research, market intelligence, talent mapping, networking, and candidate engagement to ensure the business has access to qualified candidates in competitive labor markets.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with Senior Recruiters, Hiring Managers, and HR Business Partners to understand hiring priorities, workforce plans, and critical talent needs.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for engineering, operations, manufacturing, technical, corporate, and leadership positions.
• Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for recurring, critical, and hard-to-fill roles.
• Conduct talent mapping, competitor analysis, and labor market research to identify target companies, talent pools, and candidate communities.
• Source candidates using multiple channels, including LinkedIn Recruiter, professional associations, networking events, referrals, internal databases, and industry-specific resources.
• Engage passive candidates through personalized outreach and long‑term relationship‑building strategies.
• Complete initial screening and qualification conversations to evaluate interest, availability, experience, and fit with role requirements.
• Provide qualified candidate slates to Senior Recruiters, including supporting market intelligence and candidate insights.
• Track and report sourcing activity, pipeline health, candidate engagement metrics, and market intelligence findings.
• Develop and nurture talent communities to support future hiring needs and workforce planning efforts.
• Share labor market intelligence, competitor insights, compensation trends, and talent availability analyses to support recruiting strategies and business planning.
• Support employer branding by promoting Weatherford’s career opportunities and employee value proposition.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and sourcing activity in Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC) and other Talent Acquisition systems.
• Continuously evaluate sourcing tools, technologies, and industry best practices to improve talent identification and pipeline development.

Location and Reporting

• Location: St. James Place Office, Houston, TX
• Work Arrangement: On‑site, Monday through Friday
• Reports to: Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, Western Hemisphere

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in talent sourcing, recruiting, executive search, talent intelligence, or a related talent acquisition role
• Demonstrated success sourcing technical, engineering, operations, manufacturing, corporate, or leadership talent
• Strong research, talent mapping, and market intelligence capabilities
• Experience engaging passive candidates and building long‑term talent pipelines
• Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing platforms and tools
• Strong communication, networking, and relationship‑building skills
• Ability to manage multiple searches and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Advanced proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter, talent intelligence platforms, and candidate relationship management tools
