Job summary

Mercy Home Health is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Program Manager to lead high-visibility sourcing initiatives across clinical categories. You will develop strategies, run RFPs, negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships and monitor budgets in our healthcare system.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of health-system sourcing experience, strong leadership, and the ability to partner with physicians and other stakeholders to improve efficiency and cost without sacrificing care quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Analytics or Healthcare (required)
• Masters in Business Administration, Informatics, Analytics, or Nursing (preferred)
• 5 years progressive experience in sourcing for large health systems

Responsibilities

• Supports Strategic Sourcing initiatives for clinical colleagues to conduct product research, cost analysis and presentations of initiatives.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce supply expense while maintaining quality of care.
• Monitor and improve assigned scope and budgets.
• Collaborate with physicians and other stakeholders to standardize and improve categories.
• Manage sourcing initiatives including scoping, RFPs, evaluations, negotiations, contracting and supplier management.

Primary Function/General Purpose Of Position

The Strategic Sourcing Program Manager is a highly visible position with accountability at the Leadership level to develop and execute sourcing initiatives. This position will be responsible for managing purchases and overseeing the flow of processes through applicable systems. Program Manager requires the ability to collaborate, troubleshoot, communicate and manage timelines and budgets. This position is responsible for assessing opportunities and formulating sourcing strategies and interacting with business partners and key stakeholders. This position is expected to build strategic alliances with key stakeholders (including clients and suppliers) as it relates to successfully executing organization’s purchasing strategy.

Essential Job Functions

• Supports Strategic Sourcing initiatives supporting clinical colleagues to conduct product research, cost analysis and presentations of initiatives.
• Assist with the development and implementation of strategies and processes for reducing supply expense while not forfeiting quality of care.
• Monitors, communicates, and makes improvements to assigned scope.
• Collaborates with members, including physicians, to identifying and formulate improvement and standardization in support of assigned categories.
• Manage assigned sourcing initiatives including scoping analysis, RFP development, proposal evaluations, negotiations, communication of recommendations, contracting, ongoing supplier management, and overseeing budget in applicable systems.
• Monitor and report budget for initiatives/contracts; identify recurring trends and key opportunities for vendor or internal improvements.
• Collaborates with legal, when applicable, to successfully negotiate valuable contracts on behalf of organization or membership.

Education

• Bachelors in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Analytics, Healthcare (required; Roper only: Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree)
• Masters in Business Administration, Informatics, Analytics, Nursing (preferred)

Range

• Minimum: $38.64
• Maximum: $61.82
