Job summary

East West Tea Company Llc in Eugene, Oregon is seeking a Raw Materials Sourcing Manager to support North America procurement and lead strategy for spices, herbs, flavors, extracts and botanicals.

You will drive supplier performance, data-informed decisions, and continuous improvement while maintaining regulatory compliance and working with a cross-functional team. This hybrid role combines leadership with hands-on sourcing in a growing natural tea company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 8+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
• Organic, food, beverage or dietary supplement experience preferred.
• Familiar with GMPs and CFR 111 Dietary Supplement Regulations.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• ERP experience and report writing ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead North American procurement strategy and issue resolution.
• Synthesize data to forecast prices, negotiate, and inform decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to minimize supply risk.
• Drive continuous improvement in material performance and vendor relationships.
• Develop and utilize reporting tools to track KPI achievement.
• Monitor inventory and regulatory compliance; travel to origin as needed.

East West Tea is seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced Raw Materials Sourcing Manager to join our Sourcing team!

The Raw Materials Sourcing Manager will support the North America sourcing team, steward authentic relationships and lead strategy across a global supply chain of spices, herbs, flavors, extracts and botanicals.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN:

Strategy & Leadership 70% of time

• Serve North American Procurement team as first level of escalation for issue resolution
• Synthesize data from multiple inputs to drive price forecasting, negotiations, and data informed decisions
• Collaborate with cross functional partners to develop short and medium term supply chain strategies to minimize risk and ensure continuity of supply
• Partner with relevant stakeholders to drive meaningful continuous improvement including material performance, operational throughput, and vendor relationships

Operational & Reporting 30% of time

• Develop and utilize reporting tools to track achievement against supply chain KPI’s
• Ensure KPI’s are met for Inventory, COGs, Transparency, Sustainability, among others
• Monitor and report stock levels to minimize risk related to formula transitions and aging materials
• Lead and/or facilitate comprehensive supplier reviews to drive supplier performance, enhance strategic relationships and promote 2-way sharing of actionable insights

Order Administration + Regulatory Compliance 50% of time

• Deliver regulatory compliance against GMPs, quality specifications, organic standards, and dietary supplement regulations
• Effectively mitigate risk to prevent supply interruptions while maintaining appropriate inventory levels
• Reliably complete order administration to ensure accurate and on-time delivery
• Travel to trade shows and origin as needed

WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED:

• Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Minimum of 8+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
• Organic, food, beverage or dietary supplement experience strongly preferred
• Familiar with compliance/ GMP’s and CFR 111 Dietary Supplement Regulations
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• ERP experience and report writing ability strongly preferred
