Job summary

Associated Materials Innovations is seeking a Sourcing Manager-Indirect Procurement in Ohio to drive value across product lines and facilities. You will lead supplier selection, negotiations, supplier consolidation, contracts, and strategic sourcing initiatives, balancing cost, quality, service, and long-term business value.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Purchasing/Supply Chain Management, or Finance.
  • 5+ years' proven experience in a high-functioning Procurement/Sourcing role.
  • Experience developing category strategies to lead and consolidate fragmented spend.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
  • Strategic Sourcing Experience and ability to evaluate formal supply contracts.
  • Ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and P2P processes.
  • Demonstrated abilities in implementing process improvements and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Select and maintain supplier relationships to support Procurement requirements.
  • Develop formal Category Strategies to align goals with business needs.
  • Maintain vendor files and reports as required.
  • Perform Supplier Risk Assessments ensuring viable partnerships.
  • Perform should cost modeling and make-vs-buy analysis.
  • Lead RFx diligence with a strategic approach.
  • Communicate pricing trends and market updates affecting services and supply.
  • Ensure sourcing in compliance with contractual service levels.
  • Review pricing and service charge exceptions.
  • Perform contract management and compliance activities.
  • Oversee monthly reporting for service categories.
  • Address Accounts Payable issues when escalated.
  • Lead Process Improvement initiatives.

Position Summary

The Sourcing Manager-Indirect Procurement is a strategic procurement leader responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that drive value across multiple product lines and facilities. With a focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), this role identifies opportunities to optimize cost, improve supplier performance, reduce risk, and support broader business objectives.

Working with a high degree of autonomy, the Sourcing Manager will lead supplier selection and negotiations, supplier consolidation, contract and service-level management, and strategic sourcing initiatives within assigned categories.

This position will build strong supplier partnerships, resolve complex issues, and collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure sourcing decisions balance cost, quality, service, reliability, and long-term business value.

The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, strong negotiation and supplier management skills, and the ability to translate organizational goals into sourcing strategies that deliver measurable results.

Objectives
  • Improve the total value procured from the Indirect supply base by leading standardization and consolidation solutions across various entities in North America (US & Canada).
  • With assistance of divisional cross-functional teams, develop and implement metrics to demonstrate success for each cost center and P&L affected, while Scorecarding supplier performance.
  • Develop and execute supplier negotiation plans.
  • Plan and negotiate short and long-term contracts with favorable impact on quality, continuity of supply, and corporate cost objectives.
  • Developing and achieving short and long-range operational objectives by maximizing cost savings while keeping in mind the Total Cost of Ownership.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Select and maintain supplier relationships to support Procurement requirements
  • Develop formal Category Strategies to align short, medium, and long-term goals with the needs of the business
  • Maintain appropriate vendor files and reports as required
  • Perform Supplier Risk Assessments ensuring potential and existing suppliers remain as viable partners
  • Perform should cost modeling and make vs. buy analysis
  • Lead RFx diligence with a strategic approach
  • Timely communication of pricing trends and market updates affecting services and supply
  • Accurate and timely sourcing in compliance with contractual service level metrics
  • Review pricing and service charge exceptions
  • Perform contract management and compliance activities
  • Oversee monthly reporting for various service categories
  • Address Accounts Payable issues when escalated
  • Lead Process Improvement initiatives

  • Strategic Sourcing Experience
  • Must be an experienced negotiator with the ability to evaluate formal supply contracts
  • Ability to work well in cross-functional teams
  • At a minimum, intermediate MS Excel skills are required
  • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
  • Working knowledge of P2P (Procure-to-Pay) Process and Systems
  • Demonstrated abilities in implementing process improvements and best practices
  • CPSM certification or ISM Member is a plus
