Fervo Energy, headquartered in Houston, TX, seeks a Sourcing Manager, Electrical, to own category strategy for transformers, breakers, switchgear, motors, drives, and balance‑of‑plant systems. You will collaborate with Engineering on specs, build multiple supplier options, and negotiate agreements affecting cost and schedules for GeoBlock projects.
The role requires substantial experience in electrical equipment sourcing, a track record reducing single‑vendor dependencies, and a strong grasp of
Fervo Energy is applying first-principles engineering and a manufacturing mindset to geothermal power — an industry that has operated the same way for decades. We are not building one-off power plants. We are building a product: GeoBlock, a standardized, repeatable geothermal generation unit designed to get cheaper, faster, and more reliable with every iteration.
Supply Chain is not a support function here. Our job is to be embedded with Engineering early — shaping electrical equipment specs and supplier strategy before decisions are locked in, not sourcing against a finished design.
Sourcing Manager, Electrical owns category strategy and execution for Fervo's electrical equipment scope — transformers, breakers, switchgear, motors, drives, and balance-of-plant electrical systems. This role partners directly with Engineering on specification decisions, builds competitive supplier options where categories have historically defaulted to a single vendor, and negotiates agreements that determine both cost and schedule risk for every GeoBlock.
