Fervo Energy in Houston, TX is seeking a Sourcing Manager, Electrical to own and execute the electrical equipment strategy for GeoBlock projects. You will work closely with Engineering to influence specs and drive competitive supplier options, negotiating terms that balance cost and schedule risk.
The role requires building relationships with suppliers, managing long-lead equipment, and ensuring domestic content considerations are incorporated into sourcing decisions.
Fervo Energy is applying first-principles engineering and a manufacturing mindset to geothermal power — an industry that has operated the same way for decades. We are not building one-off power plants. We are building a product: GeoBlock, a standardized, repeatable geothermal generation unit designed to get cheaper, faster, and more reliable with every iteration.
Supply Chain is not a support function here. Our job is to be embedded with Engineering early — shaping electrical equipment specs and supplier strategy before decisions are locked in, not sourcing against a finished design.
The Sourcing Manager, Electrical owns category strategy and execution for Fervo's electrical equipment scope — transformers, breakers, switchgear, motors, drives, and balance-of-plant electrical systems. This role partners directly with Engineering on specification decisions, builds competitive supplier options where categories have historically defaulted to a single vendor, and negotiates agreements that determine both cost and schedule risk for every GeoBlock.
