Job summary

TPI Global Solutions is seeking a Sourcing Manager to support the AMI 2.0 project in Jackson, MI. You will own sourcing, vendor management, and contracting for the utility metering program, with occasional travel to support the team.

Qualifications

• AMI or utility metering project experience required.
• Strong knowledge of power/utility industry and metering/grid modernization.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities for the AMI 2.0 project.

About the Role:

Consumers Energy is advancing its existing AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) program, which has been in production for approximately 15 years. The next phase, AMI 2.0, will focus on enhancing smart meter capabilities, including data analytics, interoperability, communication protocols, centralized management, and edge components.

The Sourcing Manager will support the AMI 2.0 project as a dedicated sourcing and program owner. The ideal candidate will have experience in the utility/metering space, a strong understanding of the associated supply base, and experience in sourcing, category management, procurement, and supplier management.

Department / Project:

• 100% dedicated to the AMI 2.0 project.
• Focused on utility metering and grid modernization.
• Dedicated sourcing/program owner supporting the AMI project team.
• Will not support sourcing activities for other business groups.
• Work will be focused in Jackson, MI, between One Energy Plaza and the Parnall office.
• Required to travel to Jackson from time to time to support the project.

Responsibilities:
