MatX is building advanced AI hardware and seeks a strategic Sourcing Manager to lead rack and key hardware component sourcing globally. You will manage supplier strategies, drive commercial negotiations, and partner with Hardware Engineering to align requirements with volume production.

You will own SRM programs, supplier risk management, and contract governance, delivering cost savings while supporting fast hardware iterations and high-quality outcomes for critical datacenter modules.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in strategic sourcing, global supply management, or procurement in high-tech hardware sectors.
• Proven track record negotiating multi-million contracts with tier-1 suppliers.
• Strong technical aptitude to converse with hardware architects and engineers.
• Deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, risk, and cost analysis.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and strategic leadership abilities.

We're looking for a strategic Sourcing Manager to manage sourcing strategy for datacenter rack development, integration, contract manufacturing strategy, and key vendor partnerships across critical hardware modules. You will build and execute supplier strategies that align with our NPI to production schedule, manage rack-level integration partners, ensure top quality, and secure favorable commercial terms.

In this role, you will partner closely with Hardware Engineering, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to identify technical requirements, risk and opportunities, transition key component categories from early development to volume supply.

What You'll Do Here:

• Develop and execute global strategic sourcing strategies for rack and key hardware component categories

• Lead commercial negotiations, supplier selections, RFXs, and pricing agreements to ensure best cost, quality, and supply security

• Manage supplier relationship management (SRM) programs, conducting executive business reviews (EBRs) and supplier scorecards

• Partner with Hardware Engineering to assess market capabilities, influence design for total cost of ownership, and mitigate single-source risks

• Collaborate with Legal and Contract Management to draft, finalize and execute to commercial and engineering contracts

• Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) reduction initiatives while supporting rapid hardware iteration schedules

Who You Are:

• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, global supply management, or procurement within high-tech, rack manufacturing, or advanced hardware industries

• Proven track record of negotiating complex multi-million dollar contracts and securing favorable commercial terms with tier-1 suppliers

• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to converse effectively with hardware architects and domain engineering leads

• Deep familiarity with supply chain dynamics, risk management, and vendor cost structure analysis

• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and strategic leadership capabilities.

• Comfortable in a fast-moving, high-growth environment requiring end-to-end category ownership

Compensation

The US base salary for this full-time position is determined based on a variety of factors including role, experience, location, job related skills, and relevant education and training. Career length is only a guideline for compensation.

• Mid Career - $175,000 - $400,000 + equity

• Senior Career - $250,000 - $600,000 + equity
