Job summary

Alcon seeks a Manager, Strategic Sourcing (Professional Path) to lead procurement for key categories within the supply chain and drive cost improvements across the business.

You will partner with internal teams, manage RFPs, negotiations, and performance management, while ensuring GxP compliance and SOP adherence across procurement activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of directly related experience.
  • Proven ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement activities for assigned categories, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to support sourcing and continuity.
  • Lead end-to-end procurement: RFPs, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance management.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business goals.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier optimization and process improvements.

Are you ready to join us?This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages the logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly.The Manager, Strategic Sourcing (Professional Path), is primarily responsible for optimizing procurement operations by managing sourcing strategies and supplier relationships to reduce costs and ensure quality.
