Baker Hughes in Houston invites students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree to join the University Internships: Sourcing program for 2027. You will gain hands-on procurement experience, participate in supplier evaluations, and learn how HS&E standards apply to sourcing decisions.

Throughout the internship you will be mentored by a manager and a buddy, receive coaching, and present your project results. The program fosters diversity, equity and inclusion and real-world engineering impact.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelors' or Masters' degree in Engineering, Technology, Mechanics, other STEM-related or business related program.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
• Fluent in oral and written English with effective communication skills.
• Willing to relocate for the duration of the internship.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating in evaluating and assessing potential suppliers and vendors.
• Supporting relationship management with existing suppliers, including communications and evaluations.
• Assisting in managing inventory to balance stock and minimize excess costs.
• Supporting creation, processing, and tracking of purchase orders.
• Applying HS&E standards and procedures to ensure compliance.
